It's a magical knot that can be untied in seconds if done correctly.
This "mamusubi" has been used since ancient times to tie furoshiki, and is perfect for "tying" AZUMA and TASUKI.

  • Makmusubi ①

    Hold the handles at the tip of the furoshiki with both hands and cross them.

  • True knot ②

    Push the front side of the crossed handles forward and pass under the handle on the back side.

  • true knot ③

    Fold the handle on the front side to the left so that it overlaps the handle on the back side.

  • True knot ④

    Place the handle on the back side on top of the handle on the front side that was knocked down in step 3.

    Pass the handle on the back side under the handle on the front side and tie it to complete the mamusubi.

  • Solution ①

    Hold the base of the knot on the left side of the two handles that are tied with a mamusubi, and hold the tip of the left handle with your right hand.

  • Solution ②

    With the right hand holding the tip of the handle in ①, pull it to the other side until you feel a response.
    As shown in the illustration, the parts you hold with both hands should be in a straight line.

  • Solution ③

    Lightly hold the right handle that is connected to the left handle that was aligned in ②.

    Pull the knot on the right side of the handle that you held in step 3 to the right to untie the true knot.
